Finding Balance And Center In Polarizing And Challenging Times

Right now, we are experiencing fear, anger, sorrow, and resentment in this country with the social unrest around the murder of George Floyd. Erupting during the global pandemic of Covid-19 which had brought our entire way of living to a halt and forced us to stop in our tracks and shelter at home. Now we are reopening with so many questions still unanswered and unsure of our health and future. The current political climate has never been more polarized and volatile.
These truly are polarizing and challenging times.
How am I to manage all of this? There are so many competing narratives, how do I know what to believe? How am I to protect my family? What about my job? How do I clear the clutter of information coming at me from all directions?
As men, this is extremely unsettling for us. We are told we should have the answers, know what to do and when to do it. This is resulting in stress, anxiety, worry and fear.
In this month’s Manfulness Living gathering, we are going to explore ways that you can utilize mindfulness to clear fear and anxiety to discover balance and clarity in these polarizing and challenging times.
